Tasks

The creation and maintenance of an interactive online database for regional language research are the central tasks of the research unit Bibliography.

This involves the following subtasks:

1. Georeferencing publications on regional languages (linking publications to their thematically associated regions/locations)

2. Tagging the research literature on German regional languages with keywords

Goals

• Creating a possibility online to search for literature on regional languages of German
• Creating a structure allowing the research literature to be interrelated directly and geographically oriented with data on regional languages
• Safeguarding the collections of literature on regional languages and upgrading informational resources
• Making information available for the international scientific community
• Coupling the data with other institutions dedicated to the digitization of resources, thereby strengthening the discipline internationally
